Ari Grooves is known for being a “Jack of All Trades.“ Hailing from Atlanta, GA, Ari has been blessed to perform on and off Broadway in Holler If Ya Hear Me (Broadway debut); Head Over Heels (u/s Pythio); Half Time; Summer: The Donna Summer Musical; Alice By Heart; Bare at New World Stages, and more. Most recently, Ari is Tina’s sister Alline in Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, and was nominated for a Lucille Lortel Award for her portrayal of Ronnette in the Off-Broadway revival of Little Shop of Horrors. Her film/tv credits include In The Heights; Spiderman: Homecoming; The Get Down (Netflix); Law & Order: SVU; and 72 Hours: A Brooklyn Love Story. Her choreographing credits include In the Heights( NYU), Alice Lee’ s “Smile” video, Broadway Dreams Foundation, her award winning short film “Permission”, Burn All Night(A.R.T). Ari is also a writer, DJ, and music producer creating an atmospheric soundscape and elevated vibe within the Broadway community. Despite the halt of Broadway due to the pandemic, Ari is currently producing her upcoming debut album Message From A Wanderer, releasing Summer 2021. She is excited to share her music and choreography to the world!
